It's easy to lose your way.
Together, we can find your path.

I'm glad you are here.
Through a relationally-attuned style of therapy, I can assist you in peeling back the layers to what has brought you here today.
I will be direct with you and provide a safe and compassionate context to look at what's making life hard. This can look like unsteady relationships, anxiety, or identity conflict. With Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I can guide you through processing trauma or insecurities that have been directing your life for too long. Through Internal Family Systems (IFS), I will support you in accessing the parts you have developed to protect yourself from experiencing wounding in the future, and we will make space to free them of their burdens, to embody your most current Self. If part of your struggle includes substance abuse, I have spent most of my career treating folks who learned to cope by using drugs and/or alcohol, only escalating their problems. You have more options than you might realize.

Through our work together, you can improve your communication skills, your ability to cope with the day-to-day, and build resources to get through life's major events.

About Liz
LCSW (she/her)
I have been practicing as a therapist for adults since 2012. My experience grew out of the treatment of adults with dual diagnoses, and rooted itself firmly in an understanding of how our bodies retain memory. My approach is deeply relational, collaborative, and attachment-based. I believe the therapeutic relationship is paramount to building secure attachment and enhancing our relationships with ourselves and others. Over the years, I have also worked with the incarcerated and folks under legal supervision—if this has been a part of your past experience, I welcome this process with you. For several years, I served as the Associate Clinical Director of one of the country's leading residential treatment facilities. This opportunity sharpened my skill set in trauma-informed and experiential modalities that continue to shape my approach today.
I received a Master's degree in Social Work in 2012 from SUNY Albany in New York State. I am currently licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I continue to pursue advanced education opportunities specific to both treatment interventions and professional development.
